Chimneys, done properly

A lot of roof leaks are really chimney leaks. The lead around the base of the stack splits or lifts, the mortar at the top cracks, and water runs down inside the brickwork into the room below.

We renew the lead flashings around chimneys, cap chimneys that are no longer used and take down chimneys that are not needed any more, then make the roof good where the stack stood. A chimney that is not used can often come down when the roof is being done, saving a repair later.
